Getting SPSS

For access to SPSS, please contact Saunders Technical Support to arrange a time for installation (Reserved for Saunders, COLA, and CIAS only). The computer that the software is being installed on must also be RIT ownedor you may use the Ivanti (formally LANDesk) Portal Manager to install the latest version yourself. For those individuals not supported by Saunders, please contact your IT Support Group to gain access to SPSS.

Once installed, you either have to be on campus or use the RIT VPN Client to access the licensing server when you launch the software.  You can check out a license for extended use away from the campus by using the SPSS Commuter License. This allows you to use SPSS with no internet connection for a certain amount of time.

Checking Out a Commuter License

Open up the Start menu and search for SPSS Commuter License.
