How to sync your browsing data in Google Chrome

First, you must opt in to use Google Apps if you are using your RIT account.  We have instructions on how to do so on our wiki hereWe recommend using your personal Google Account and not an RIT account.

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. In the top right, click the button with your name or People icon icon.
  3. Click Sign in to Chrome.
  4. Sign in with your Google Account.
  5. To customize your sync settings, click More More iconand thenSettingsand thenAdvanced sync settings. You can choose what information to share across other devices where you are signed in to Chrome.

  1. Sign up for a Firefox account at Firefox Accounts signup page.
    1. Enter your email address, password and age, then click Create account.
    2. When the confirmation email arrives, click on the verification link.
  2. Once your account has been verified, sign in to Firefox.
    1. Open Firefox and click the Open menu button at the top right.  
    2. Click "Sign in to Firefox."  
    3. Again, click "Sign in to Firefox." 
    4. Sign in to your Firefox account.
