The Vice President is the second in command for the RIT Launch Initiative, helping to oversee all team operations, along with the other members of the E-Board. They are primarily responsible for working with the school administration, the LAB, EHS, and the SHED.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the President - a useful structure is to have P/VP make decisions and split tasks amongst each other evenly, and the President makes final decisions
  • Act as the President when the President is gone
  • Work with the university administration to ensure the vision of the team is clearly expressed to the school and not blocked, suppressed, and/or tampered with.
  • Ensure LAB members and any advisor meet with the team, express support for the team's projects, and can clearly communicate the team's goals to other parties.
  • Working with school administration and the LAB members support, when talking with EHS, to keep the team above board when necessary*.
    • Talking with EHS directly is never advised, stay off the radar EHS in all/most scenarios
    • When discussing touchy subjects(SRAD, gen chemicals, motors, etc) refrain from oversharing the team's activities with all parties unless necessary
  • Support other E-board positions when the workload is heavy.
  • Fight for all projects on the team and the overall future goals

Requirements:
