What is an Agility Mindset?

At a recent unmeeting we talked a bit about the growth mindset and it generated some good conversation.  Growth mindset is an important and core part of the agility mindset.

Let’s revisit the topic of an agile mindset.

Agile Values and Principles: Customer collaboration over contract negotiation, Value 3

Please look at the third value in the Manifesto and think about the following question:

  • What does this value mean to you?
  • What do we do that you believe aligns with this value?
  • 2 part question, please think about both parts of the question (for each thing that you point out as not aligning, think about something we could change that would make it align)
    • What is something that we do that does not align with this value?
    • What changes would you suggest to help align that with the value?

Optional: Can you see any principles that align with this value?

When you are thinking about these questions, try to think about things as though everything is possible, even if it isn't.

Let's collaborate!!  Hey wait, are we collaborating?  Or are we cooperating?  Or are we participating in a coordinated effort?  Or is this just good communication?

I'm so confused!

Michelle Poysa will facilitate a discussion about collaboration.

Agile Values and Principles: Value 2

Please look at the second value in the Manifesto and think about the following question:

  • What is your teams equivalent of software?
  • What does this value mean to you?
  • What do we do that you believe aligns with this value?
  • 2 part question, please think about both parts of the question (for each thing that you point out as not aligning, think about something we could change that would make it align)
    • What is something that we do that does not align with this value?
    • What changes would you suggest to help align that with the value?

Optional: Can you see any principles that align with this value?

When you are thinking about these questions, try to think about things as though everything is possible, even if it isn't.
