The Director of Operations is an elected position that oversees all team technical and launch operations and assists the Project Leads in the successful realization of their project objectives.

  • Keep project leads on track and support struggling leads Help teams properly present projects to the team, LAB, etc.leads
    • Familiarize new leads with project management tools
    • Ensure documentation of project plans and action items
    • Enforce schedules
    • Remove and replace consistently ineffective leads
  • Support internal and external project presentations and design reviews
    • Ensure presentations are well put together and convey the proper message
    • Communicate with the VP to ensure all proper parties can attend certain presentations
  • Enforce project schedules for all project teams

    • Remove and replace projects leads who are not able to complete goals and who jeopardize the team's mission
  • Observe the logistics of the team and look for ways to improve

    • Operations will always need to be created and improved based on the projects at hand

Requirements

  • Prior leadership experience
    • Project team preferred
  • Not close to struggling academically
  • No other major extracurricular responsibilities for the leadership term
    • Example: Officer in another student organization
    • Example: Major project contributor
  • Not a last-year student

  • Experience in a leadership position
