Overview

This page outlines AI tools that are available to RIT. As this landscape is constantly changing, please check back here often for updates. We’ll work to add more as we learn more.

Tools through RIT

Below are a list of tools we have available through RIT.

Be sure to check https://www.rit.edu/ai/ for updates from RIT’s AI Hub.

Microsoft Copilot (web based only)

The web based version of Microsoft Copilot is available to most RIT accounts. The advantage of this AI tool is the data entered into this tool stays within the RIT tenet. Here’s how to login in:

Go to https://copilot.microsoft.com/ and click Sign In in the upper, right corner.

Enter your RIT username followed by @rit.edu and click Next.

Enter your RIT password and click Sign in. You will then get a DUO prompt.

Once signed in, you may be asked if you want to continue with your Work account or switch to a Personal account. Select the Work account.

Once signed in, you should notice the green shield in the upper, right corner. This green shield indicates you are using a protected version of the AI.

Zoom AI Companion

To learn more about Zoom’s AI Companion, please see https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/category?id=kb_category&kb_category=eabaef58c3b139904b490e8dc0013111 for support articles.

Other Tools

We know there are questions about certain popular AI tools and if they are available at RIT. As we learn more about tools becoming available to RIT, we’ll update this page.

A lot of these tools are being evaluated by the university for future consideration. In the meantime, please be cautious of using any tools that are not available through RIT with protection. Most AI tools use what you put into them for training their models. This can expose your prompts, data, and solutions to others.
