Power - Ground Station 2

Requirements:

• System needs to allow for at least 8 hours of continuous operation

Assumptions:

• Mainboard CPU (Intel Core I5-1135G7) will be responsible for the bulk (>70%) of power draw

Back of the envelope calculations:

Intel Core I5-1135G7 has a power draw of 28W in a TDP-up mode. At 20V power supply this results in a current draw of 1.4A. Let’s assume the remaining components bring that up to 2A. At 2A draw, 16000mAh battery should be sufficient to power the system for 8 hours.

Alternative approaches:

2x Power banks → 2x PD breakout board → 2x diode (diode OR MUX) → “dumb power” USB HUB
