Mission Critical Requirements
Driven by Rules and the Rocket
- The payload must be deployed from the rocket.
- The payload must conform to the 3U cubesat form factor.
- The payload must weigh at least 8.8lbs (4kg).
- Only 20% of the payload mass can be non-functional.
- The payload must be recoverable.
- The payload must have redundant recovery systems.
- The payload must land at less than 30 ft/s (9.1 m/s).
- The payload's location must be real-time tracked by ESRA Mission Control Center (MCC).
Primary Objective Requirements
Not mission critical, but top level
- The payload will live stream video to the ground during flight.
Derived Requirements
Requirements derived from MC and PO requirements
- drogue chute
- one downward facing camera
- local (non-streamed) camera upward/sideward (maybe)
- no reason to not put as many we can fit/power
- vertical would be cool (see the parachute)
- less overlapping information that downward and upward
- name idea: COTS in 4K
- Tracking: BRB
- we need to power the cameras
- whole lotta 2S LiPos
- 2x Flight computers
