Tensile strength testing for structures

Thermal range 

  • At IREC:

    • CF was around 140+ deg F

    • FG was around 120 deg F

  • Best test for us is probably to measure diameter at room temp and then going up by 5-10 degrees until ~200F

    • measure change in diameter at every interval

(Grace) looking into if any other research has been done into thermal expansion for FG, CF, BlueTube in the 200F range

Solids Update with Scott

  • URRG Larry starting mixing class/events for college teams

    • BOM sent to Larry

  • Working with Scott for getting materials

    • Scott interested in 3D solid propellant 

    • need to purchase vacuum pump/mixers

  • Have more technical resources like journal articles and scientific articles
