IREC

@Domenic Cacace (RIT Student)

  • Lots of building to do

  • Needs more analysis

  •

Space Race (Public Unsafety)

@Patrick Killian (RIT Student)

  • Airframe done!!!

  • Avionics is “flight critically” ready (datalogging components still being worked on)

  • Payload is assembled, but needs a few fixes and the lights added

  • Reefing system assembled and low-speed testing has begun.

  • Recovery to ensure the fit of all components

  • Payload to finish assembly

  • Structures to sand down fin fillets

  • Avionics waiting on Eggfinder USB interfaces for programming

  • Need to get paint and plan to paint next Tuesday

Space Race (xpa7234@rit.edu)

Kyle Scher

  • Rocket is mostly done, structures is over

  • Avionics ready for deployment testing

  • New payload

  • New color scheme

  • deployment testing

  • avionics bay construction

  • painting

    • stencil

Liquid Propulsion

@Jonah Gimmi (RIT Student)

@Riley Quinn (RIT Student)

  • Both CDRs done

    • lots of professors attending

  • Nitron 1 success

Solid Propulsion

@Wynter Brigitta-Maita (RIT Alumni)

  • waiting for resin

  • Set up using Larry URRG’s lab

  • ruffled feathers

  •

Avionics (Hardware)

@Ben Hyman (RIT Student)

  • Lots of backplane assembly and testing

  • Backplane v2 arrived

    • Seems to work perfectly so far

    • Ethernet is fully functional

    • No issues

      • (Yet) - Aaron

  • Sensor Mod v2 Testing:

    • handful of issues discovered that justify spinning a new revision

    • Can be finished before the end of the semester, but probably won’t have enough time for testing

    • Will be in hand by IREC, probably ship some to Aaron for test

  • GRIM Reefer:

    • Shares an issue with sensor mod, not flight critical

    • Seems to work fine otherwise

  • POTATO:

    • chillin so far

Avionics (Software)

@Aaron Chan (RIT Student)

  • Sensor Module v2 Testing:

    • It’s shit. But I still love the sensor module team

    • More testing today. Reading the sensor bus seems a little inconsistent

    • Ethernet works with some re-wiring

  • Need to investigate filesystem causes crashes on the new module revisions

  • Power Module and Radio Module can be marked (minimum viable) finished

    • Adding more debug software into radio mod

    • I lied we still need to just add a few calls for data logging but other than that :)
