Overview

Faculty and staff may use Office 365 to install the Office apps on their personal devices. 

Installing Office 365 on a home computer

No instructions are available at this time.

Windows

Go to https://office.com/

Click Sign in

Enter your RIT username followed by @rit.edu for the email address.  Example: abcbbu@rit.edu

Select Work or school account to sign in.

Enter your RIT Computer Account password and click Sign In

Accept the DUO push

Once signed in, click on Home and then Install Office to download the setup program.

Once downloaded, run the installer.

Office 2019

Office 2019 is the current version deployed to Saunders computers by default.

Office 2021

Office 2021 is available for Saunders computers as an opt in.  If you would like to install it, please use Portal Manager.

Office 2021 will be deployed to all Saunders lab systems at the conclusion of the fall 2022 (2221) semester.

Office 365

Office 356 is available for Saunders computers as an opt in.  If you would like to install it, please use Portal Manager.
