Adding Printers
All desktops have printers automatically added; however, laptops must be done manually. This is to increase boot speeds for laptops when they are not on campusSaunders computers will automatically add printers when you are on campus and logging in. If you are off campus, you will need to add them manually.
Before trying to add a printer, please make sure you are on campus as adding printers from off campus will be very slow and may not workor connected to the RIT VPN Client.
To add a printer, simply click on your Start Menu and type in \\scb-sv-prt-3.main.ad.rit.edu and press enter.

For NTID faculty/staff, the printer name for the 3rd floor is scb-pr-1 and for the Ross Hall printer it is prscb8.
