Preliminary Statement (DO NOT ERASE)

While the Constitution was written to provide the team with a stable and long-term governance structure, it shall also be a living document. The word/operating structure/experiences of Launch officers in 2022 may not be applicable to those in the future and, as such, the Constitution must be amended to reflect the team that it so governs.

4.E: The Executive Board

Executive Board members are Launch Initiative Officers that have been elected for positions such as, but are not limited to:

  • President
  • Director of Competition Operations
  • Director of Research and Development Operations
  • Director of Public Relations
  • Treasurer
  • Director of Sponsorships
  • Secretary

The President, Director of Competition Operations, and Director of Research and Development Operations shall henceforth be referred to as "Admin Team"

Purpose of Amendment
The purpose of this amendment is to reorganize the structure and responsibilities of the Admin Team as the club expands, both in terms of members and the scope and number of projects. With the number of members on each subteam, the rise and progression of both propulsion subteams, and the recent addition of the High Altitude Balloon subteam, it has become necessary to split the workload of Director of Operations into two positions. Both of these new positions would serve as members of the Admin Team, and the responsibility will be split as follows: Director of Competition Operations will be in charge of both IREC and Space Race, while the Director of Research and Development Operations will be in charge of Solid Propulsion, Liquid Propulsion, Avionics, and High Altitude Balloon. Both positions will preform all of the actions as the current Director of Operations for their respective subteams. To offset the loss of the Vice President position, the President will become responsible for the duties of both positions and use the Secretary to help where needed. Finally, scheduling club events such as Game Nights or other team bonding activities will fall to the Director of Public Relations.
