microcontrollers

built in imu:https://www.digikey.com.mx/en/products/detail/seeed-technology-co-ltd/102010469/16652896 ****selecting this, the power consumption is negligible enough and the imu is acceptable and it will be easy.

lowest power https://www.microchip.com/en-us/product/atmega8

sensors

LSM6DSLTR STMicroelectronics | Sensors, Transducers | DigiKey*no

buzzers

brayden doesnt have access yet lol, but he found some but also theres alot so yeah

big led??

no big led just regular white led that draws 100mA

switch

https://www.diodes.com/assets/Datasheets/DMN2320UFB4.pdf (1A rated lil box)

9/16 progress: selected the xiao sense as the microcontroller and will not be using a separate imu.

specs for the xiao sense

-needs 5V from battery,

consumes ~10mA

2mA gpio current

probably 3.3V output

Action items going forward

  • design camera-board-batteries interfacing/physical design

  • test the run cam with led for exposure change

  • power calcs/timeline, test current draw with 5V

  • get parts in altium

  • select transistors for switching (probably fets) that WORK and check efficiency ect

  • triple check if the xaio needs regulation(it doesn not, its built in)

  • later design voltage conversion

Power drain estimates

with 1600mAh battery

passive standard mode 160hrs 10mA draw

low power mode passive: 45.6yrs 4uA draw lol

powering cam+led (450mA+100mA) 2.9hrs

overestimate powering cam+led (600mA+100mA) 2.3hrs

with 3200mAh we could almost completely ignore putting the xiao on sleep mode, power consumption would be a very minimal issue
