Overview

Create a solid student research and design (SRAD) motor and casing for the Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition (IREC). The IREC rocket will be in the 10k altitude category. The motor will be in the M impulse range of 5120 - 10240 Newton seconds. Continue building off of the work done by MSD team P21104. The team will use OpenMotor and Burnsim to design, simulate and verify the performance of the motor after testing. The team will use project Psyche Nasa advisors to advise the team. Work with EHS and the LAB to create safety procedures and find appropriate locations.
