Slack Bot

Project Mission:

• Bot that will post ground station updates to the Slack.
• Fun, side project that will also make some quality-of-life improvements for the team.

Requirements:

• Implement a method that will receive data from the ground station and post to a slack channel
  • https://api.slack.com/messaging/sending

• Custom messaging for bot developers to annoy people for amusement
• (OPTIONAL) Automatically generate a Confluence wiki page at a certain time and post to the specified channel
  • Depends on if RIT does not block API calls 
  • https://developer.atlassian.com/server/confluence/confluence-server-rest-api/

• Countdowns  

The Jeb Method:

• Made by Will using C (obviously)
• Loads into the kernel
• Command hopefully won't cause a buffer overflow that causes a kernel panic
• Custom messaging ??

The Bob Method:

• Made by Aaron using Python
• Hosted either on a web server (GCP, Heroku) or ground station.
• Will actually be written intelligently and provide useful functionality (probably)
