Setting Up the Outlook app on Mobile Devices

This guide will help you set up your RIT Exchange account on the Outlook app on Android and iOS mobile devices.

Note

This guide does not apply for student RIT Gmail accounts.

Android Devices

Download the Outlook app from the Google Play Store. You can also search "Outlook" in the store on your phone.

Upon opening the app for the first time, you will be prompted to add an e-mail account.

Select the Add account button under settings.

When prompted to select an account type, select Email account.

Enter your RIT Computer Account Username followed by @rit.edu and tap Continue. Example: abcbbu@rit.edu

You will then be prompted for your RIT Computer Account password and go through DUO. Once done, you should be all set.

iOS Devices

Download the Outlook app from the App Store.

Once downloaded, open the app. You will see a screen that says "Add Account" like the image below. Enter your RIT Computer Account Username followed by @rit.edu and tap Add Account. Example: abcbbu@rit.edu

You will then be prompted for your RIT Computer Account password and go through DUO. Once done, you should be all set.
