Requesting an account

To register for an account, please visit https://wrds-www.wharton.upenn.edu/register/

When filling out the form, please use the following information for the various fields

Username	RIT Username
Password	Unique password. Not your RIT password.
First / Last Name	Please enter your name as listed at RIT
Email Address	Please use your RIT Email Address: username@rit.edu
Subscriber	Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) - Saunders College of Business (SCB)
User type	Students: Use Masters / Undergrad

Authorized Users

"WRDS data is a subscription by the SCB; accounts allowing access are available to SCB faculty and students. Occasionally, and upon request, we make accounts available to non-SCB RIT faculty; you may contact the SCB representative by email prior to submitting an official request on the WRDS website. "

Two-Factor Authentication

WRDS has announced they will be moving to Two-Factor authentication in November of 2022. Please see https://wrds-www.wharton.upenn.edu/pages/about/wrds-faqs/faq-for-two-factor-authentication/ for details.

WRDS is using the same tool we use at RIT, so this should be easy and familiar to set up.
