IREC (Integrated Runcam Engineering Camera) Test Procedure
Important Notes!!
Do not connect the usbc on the Xiao sense while the battery is also plugged in
Exposure test procedure
xiao should be programmed (to activate the cam and flash after a fixed time? maybe like 30 seconds?)
make connections from the runcam and flash to the two OUT jst sockets on the LILGUY. do not connect the battery to the BAT socket
connect a clean micro sd card
have a test container that blocks all light ready (maybe use an old L1)
take everything to a well lit location, ideally outside on a sunny day
plug in the battery, place the IREC in the container and close the container
after waiting double the programmed time (or some other amount idk) quickly open the container (the flash LED should be on.
when finished recording disconnect all jst connections and remove the sd card
L1 Boost detection procedure
microcontroller should be programmed with boost detection code
put it together in the 3d printed case (idk how yet)
connect the BAT and OUT jst connections (not usbc!!!!)
Verify LED on the microcontroller is lit
verify the flash LED is not illuminated
verify the sd card is inserted and secured ( we gonna have a specific way to do this?)
connect to test rig for an L1 gonna have to design this. maybe test mounting method here too?
launch and recover L1 following all proper procedures
remove the test rig/camera from the L1 payload bay
note if flash and microcontroller leds are on, and if sd card is still secured in its slot
note any structural damage
remove the sd card
